Cafes, restaurants reopen for outdoor service

As of today, Monday 3/5/2021, cafes and restaurants reopen after a long period of nearly six months, for sit-down service in the open with distanced tables and up to six patrons per table. Greece has began to ease coronavirus-related restrictions. On 15th of May the Country will officially start its activities in the tourism industry for summer 2021. Everyone is required to send an SMS to 13033 with the code 6 for visiting restaurants and cafes. Music is prohibited at this time and closing time is at 10.45 pm. The Minister of Development, Mr. Adonis Georgiades declared "We are reopening food businesses but the virus is still here. The risk is not over yet. We do not want to curb anyone’s freedom, but the virus needs to be kept under control,” .
